In a past life I was a Mechanic, then on to Manufacturing in steel. On retirement to Katikati, I wanted something different - which was wood turning. I bought my lathe from Carbatec and am very thankful that Grant talked me into a Nova DVR 2024. I belong to Hauraki Wood-Turners Club which meets at 8 Towers St, in Paeroa weekly. HWC is a small club of 20 very enthusiastic members of guys and gals with a wide variety of styles. My inspirations can come from anywhere in life however the book "500 wooden bowls" was a huge wake up call as to what is possible.
