Started woodturning in 2000 after seeing Chris Stott, Tim Lawson and Frank Clark demonstrating at Polesden Lacey in Surrey, UK. Still have Chris's Yew pot we bought as he took it off the lathe that day- and reminded him of this at a recent AAW Symposium. Have taken classes with Greg Moreton, Colin Simpson and Jimmy Clewes. Active member of Cheam Woodturners Association and AAW. I turn on a VB36 and prefer larger items, although Jimmy did convert me to smaller pieces of work whilst on the course with him. Also have a Record DML 320 for smaller work and demos. I am also the current Chairman of Cheam Woodturners
