I started turning in January 2014 as a hobby and very quickly became addicted. I learned how to turn from watching videos on YouTube and a bit of trial and error. I found that entering the clubs monthly competitions helped me challenge myself and improve my turning. I managed to win the beginner section in 2015 and am doing quite well in the experienced section this year. I have two young kids and work full time so turning time is limited. I try to get out to my shed whenever I can and find Woodturning to be a very satisfying hobby and something I hope to continue to do for many years to come continuinly to work on my design and turning skills.
