Good Day Sunshine
I started tuning in my early 20's then got so busy with work I left it for about 40 years while I worked my way up in a large Corporation. Starting as a Joiner apprentice and finally retiring as a middle manager. I then went on to do 8 more years as a consultant in Ship's Outfitting. I happen to now be in what is often called the 'golden' years, will turn 71 this year and have finally been convinced by my wife to quit working so at the end of this year I will be able to commit all of my time to her and the other love of my life 'turning'. We have had the pleasure of having two of our four grandchildren live with us for the past 13 years and I gotta say that those years have been nothing less than exciting.
There are sooooo many artists who have had a big influence on my turing that I hesitate to mention any lest I miss a few but especially of late Harvey Fein, Betty Scarpino, Molly Winton, David DeChrisitiforo, just to name a few that come to mind have me trying things I would never have done on my own.
I love to walk secluded beaches, fly fish with my wife and grandchildren I am an avid 'birder'. Presently I maintain and monitor about 45 nest boxes that I built and have installed in this area. I am a member of the Greater Vancouver Wood Turners Guild and really enjoy the monthly meetings.
Oh, and I just love WOW, thanks Herm.
