H133 Cowboy Basket Weave-s

I have been turning for about 10 years, but have been doing woodworking since woodshop in high school. I like turning many different things, but maybe it can be described as “adding embellishments to turnings”. I turn hats, both solid and pierced, natural edge turnings, hollow spheres, scallop edge bowls and just about anything turned. I add embellishments such as carving, air brushing, pierce carving and texturing. I like doing pieces that generate the “How Did You Do That” response. I love to learn new techniques and craftsmanship from other turners. I have taken classes from professional turners and attended many demos to advance my turning knowledge. I also believe in giving back to the turning community by doing demos and writing “How To” articles. To keep our craft alive we must pass the knowledge along to the next generation.
