Made in Texas for the spring "Dog n' Sud's" sale to raise money for the workshop at our park. I like making weedpots because you can experiment with shapes to your heart's content and they don't take a lot of wood. And, you can turn one in five minutes. These are a bit different. They have tubes in them so fresh buds can be used for a dinner table centerpiece, or whatever. I don't recall what the woods are for the vases, but the base is a piece of redwood someone handed me with a smile and said "Do something with that". So I broke it apart at the fault, trimmed it on the band saw, cleaned off the bark on the fault and used a wire brush to rough it up. A coat of matte Krylon is the finish. The tiny mushrooms are on little metal pins and can moved to tiny little holes in the base. The vases are also on pins so they can be switched around. Just a bit of fun, By the way, the pots are about 4 to 5" tall and the mushrooms about 3/4" in diameter. They are from a small twig I broke off a tree in the park.
