I have been woodworking (flat work) for as long as I can remember. However, I did not start turning until I saw David Marks' show on DIY about seven years ago. I recorded his shows that were about wood turning and watched them over and over. Shortly thereafter I discovered Tim Yoder's program on PBS and recorded all of them. After watching these programs about a hundred times, I decided it was time to invest in the tools and try my hand. Once that first long, thin curl peeled off of my gouge I was hooked! About two years after I sold my business (tech PC and Internet) I decided to start a second career. I always wanted to be an artist, so why not? My wife Carolyn is my business manager and she handles the art shows part. We make a great team. I work in my studio, located at Factur in Orlando Fl about 5 hours every day. I also teach adult workshops and do demos. My email is rogerdalescott@gmail.com and my web Home is www.woodpops.com
