I have been an amateur woodworker for over 50 years and an woodturner for more than 25 years. My skills are primarily self-taught with assists from various class work, from woodworking publications, and through participation in various woodworking clubs. I have studied with many noted wood artists including, Allan Batty, Stuart Batty, Christian Burchard, Jimmy Clewes, Don Derry, Michael, Hosaluk, John Jordan, Binh Pho, Richard Raffan, Merryll Saylan, and Susan Working. My dad gets the credit for instilling in me a passion for hand-made wood items.
I am a member of:
• The San Diego Woodturners
• The San Diego Fine Woodworkers Association
• American Association of Woodturners After 38 years with the same company, they let me go over a year ago because they were shifting their focus from computer hardware to computer software. I've been a freelance consultant since, but am still looking for permanent employment.

Before David Nittmann passed away in 2014, he asked me if I would be interested in carrying on his airbrush business. After some thought, I decided to go for it, so I do that now too. (edited Feb 2025 - reference Family Talks chat here for more details https://thewows.com/Discussion.aspx?r=12102).
