Sumac vase

I’ve enjoyed working with wood nearly all of my life but got into turning after retiring from a 40 year career in Electrical Engineering. In addition to furniture making, I turn wooden bowls, vases and other objects, many from green wood harvested in New Hampshire. I enjoy making the most of the grain and figure of wood I harvest and like to turn natural edge bowls. I also “rescue” unique or exotic wood from scrap piles of furniture or hardwood flooring factories, turning them into unique as well as utilitarian objects. I’m proud to be a member of the Guild of NH Woodworkers, the Granite State Woodturners, the American Association of Woodturners, and my local group of Mont Vernon Artisans here in New Hampshire.
