I started woodworking about 2000 and collected most of my tools for that part of my hobby, By 2003 I had a good workshop setup, luckily I did as I had 4 heart attacks and woodwork was my therapy. I did not get any woodturning equipment until late 2009, when I started I made the usual dog bowl shape and progressed from there. About six months after starting woodturning I was prompted by some woodturners on a forum to enter into one of the wood shows here in the UK and was pleased to have achieved a third in my class. I think this went some way to me carrying on in this part of the hobby So now i mainly make wooden toys/models and woodturning from pens to decorative turning. I am totally self taught in all of my woodworking and only just recently joined a turning club. I also write articles for the Woodworker magazine here in the UK but this is limited to the toy/model making side of things
