I am a woodturner who enjoys experimenting with different techniques and materials. I also design and build my own specialty tools to facilitate my interest in Ornamental Turning. I demonstrate at various club meetings, mainly in Southwest Ontario and for several years have done stage presentations at the annual London Woodshow. Since the promoter of that show passed away, our guild has become involved with the annual Woodstock Woodshow. I enjoy demonstrating at our booth and have done stage presentations for several years as well. I have had a number of articles published in the AAW Journal, the UK magazine “Woodturning” and in the now, sadly, defunct magazine “ Woodturning Design”. Although I have been a wood worker for as long as I can remember, it wasn’t until I retired that I became interested in wood turning as an artistic outlet. I became a member of the Greater Vancouver Woodturning Guild in 2003 and remained so until my move to Ontario in 2005 where I joined the Thames Valley Woodturning Guild and got involved with the World of Woodturners (WoW).
