I'm Mike, from Baltimore. Newly back on the turning scene after a 10 year hiatus, I got my woodworking start building boats with my dad as a kid. I bought a lathe to turn one simple spindle for a table, and of course got hooked. I had some good success in the turning world, and have been juried into some noteworthy exhibits, but had to give up my shop when my marriage ended. I've been putting my shop back together and carving stuff and building a little bit of furniture until recently when I managed to find myself a lathe. Was happy I kept all of my turning gouges, etc., especially my Tormek. Really looking forward to making more weird stuff - some of you will remember my "bugs" and EYEpods from years ago. Who knows what's to come...
