"A pile of rocks"

I am a 17 year old turner from CA. My interest in woodturning began when I saw some videos on youtube, and my addiction grew from there. I bought a 12.5 swing Jet lathe and some carbide tools (don't worry, I quickly realized the advantages of HSS tools and got those as well). I turned my share of bowls, pots, and vases, but I quickly realized I wanted to focus on turning boxes primarily. With help from tutorials by Sam Angelo, Chris Stott, Ray Key, and many others, I started to experiment with different box designs. I eventually learned to hand chase threads and texture my pieces, and I always trying to broaden the scope of my designs. My goal is to eventually purchase and learn to use a rose engine lathe effectively. I still have lots to learn and I always like trying new things and ideas. You can check out my work on my instagram @the_burl_turner_ or on my Etsy; https://www.etsy.com/shop/BensBoxesAndTurnings Have a question? Please feel free to contact me.
