Basket weave platter
Hi guys , I was born in the uk and moved with my family to sydney australia in 1982, we lived and worked there for 8 years , I was a truck driver and saw a lot of australia , in 1990 moved to country nsw to run a motel , very hard work 24/7 , as a release I signed up for a woodturning course at the local technical college , an evening class once a week for 6 weeks , I enjoyed it that much the following year I signed up for the same course again , I was hooked at that stage , but didn, t have the time or more importantly a lathe to continue with my new found hobby,
It wasn, t untill about 9 or 10 years ago my now partner bought me a small lathe and the journey really began , I made many mistake along the way , hell , I also made a few bowls , boxes , platters and candlesticks , unfortunately , I am only a weekend turner , and sometimes only get a few hours some weekends ,
Work and family matters take up most of my time at the moment
I am interested in all aspects of woodturning and look forward to being involved in the wow family in the future
