I graduated from high school 1965 and enlisted in the USMC in 1966. Was very fortunate to receive a Degree in Life while serving in Vietnam. Afterwards I served an apprenticeship as a millwright, pile-driver, and carpenter. As a journeyman I eventually became a construction supervisor in the the Midwest area. I retired 2009 and started wood turning two years later. What a joy. I don’t know when I would have found the time but I sure wished I would have started turning 40 years ago. I am the President of the Michiana Woodturners. I am aIso a Founding member and Visual Story Teller of Pure Michigan Woodturners Collaboration. I sure appreciate the WOW. What a great site. I also have had a US VA approved German Shepard service dog for the last eight years. Luke reminds me when I have been working on the lathe to long.
