Bruce Trojan has been immersed in the arts for much of his life. A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, Bruce developed a successful career as a music educator, professional trumpet player, published composer, and recording artist. Upon his retirement from teaching, Bruce turned his creative focus toward another passion, creative and artistic woodworking. Bruce’s love for creating finely crafted works led him to combine lathe turned wood with flat woodwork. He views a basic turned form as a canvas from which to add elements to create one-of-a-kind pieces. In presentations and demonstrations, Bruce shares his techniques and creative processes with other woodturners. He has been a featured presenter for the Finger Lakes Woodturners, Rochester, NY, the Central New York Woodturners, Syracuse, NY, the Western New York Woodturners #1 (West) and #2 (East), and the Pembroke Woodturners Guild, Pembroke, NY. Bruce Trojan’s work has been displayed and sold through the Dunn Gallery in Kapa’au, H.I., and Craft Company #6 in Rochester, N.Y. His website is
