Covid-19 Ornament

Turn for fun with the odd commission and donations to various local fundraisers. Past president (for a second time) of the Golden Horseshoe Woodturners Guild in Burlington, ON. After being told by SWMBO "No more dust collectors", try to focus on utility stuff. Finding lately that turning gets bumped for other activities usually related to property maintenance at our place or kids next door or cottage on Lake Erie. Have a permanent spalting area in our white pine woods with enough wood that my wife asked me a few years ago "Exactly how long are you going to live?" Crossing the 70 year threshold this December 2014, which is scary. Turn on a 3HP Oneway 2436 That was delivered in Feb. 2004 and love it. Also have a Delta VS midi (46-460?) which I like too and hope it never needs parts. Have been a Wowie pretty much since its launch. Have attended AAW Symposia at Louisville, Hartford & St. Paul and looking forward to Pittsburgh ( didn't make it. Funds went into a deck replacement) where I spent the fall of '66 in training with Fisher Scientific. That lead to a career in scientific instrument business managing Canadian subsidiaries as company name changed and getting booted out from Thermo Instruments in the fall of 2000. Too busy to find work ever since. Surviving a cardiac arrest with CPR and paddles on October 18, 2020 during Covid times gives me another shot at life. Married 54 years, getting to the point in time where we have to make plans for the next stage in life and then start doing it. Still enjoy putting something on the lathe or simple flat projects.
