The intent of my work is to express my passion for Art and Engineering. The art of my work is in the shapes I form together with the beauty of the wood I select. I choose hardwoods that exhibit unusual colors and uncommon figure. My forms and finishes are chosen to showcase the grain flow of the wood. I enjoy adding texture to my forms by sandblasting the surface and enhancing the grain with color dyes and oil finishes. My profession as a Mechanical Design Engineer for more than 33 years has taught me the importance of shape, form & function along with focus on fine details. My artist career has allowed me to explore the beauty of shape, form, texture and color without boundaries. My true love is working with wood. Wood artistry is a wonderful journey for me that is filled with passion, hard work, and joy.
