I started woodturning in May 2018 and came to it so I could make my own pieces to do pyrography on. I live in Auckland, New Zealand and am a member of the South Auckland Woodturners Guild. I have always been an designer/artist/writer of some kind. I have 7 books published on “Handmade Needlework from the 13th to 19th century” from different cultures around the world. I enjoy pushing myself to try new techniques and styles; having a million ideas running through my head at one time helps with that.
