1978 Graduated from Westminster and William Woods University, Fulton, MO receiving a BFA with concentration in sculpture, watercolor and drawing. 1985 Started “The Wood Doctor” refinishing antiques, and building one of a kind furniture pieces 1996 to present: Part of NewSpace Inc. with the purpose of being the creative force in all their high end furniture and cabinets. Artist Statement Throughout my career in sculpture, furniture, photography, drawing and paintings, pure and simple form is always forefront in my thinking. Sculpture is my first love and I have always felt that furniture is just functional sculpture. I learned photography to capture the glory that God has made and record the Art that I love to create. I live about 30 miles south of St. Louis Missouri, with a fantastic view and I’m surrounded by forest. All my sculptures are created in my 1600 sqft studio next to my house using the tools and exotic woods I have collected over the years. I combine wood turning, carving, cabinet and furniture making techniques to create my sculptures. Life should be fun, find time to do what you love. Pure joy is serving God with your talents and doing it with all your heart.
