Black Ash Burl 2

I live in Oma, WI, in the snowbelt just south of Lake Superior. Oma doesn’t show on the map because it is too small, one fire barn and a town hall. I am retired. We live on the lake and are at present in the process of finishing our "last" house. We are building from trees we harvested and sawed with our Woodmizer into lumber. I have always been a woodworker. I first became introduced to woodturning in a high school woodshop. 44 years later I used an old Dunlop lathe to make a cabinet knob and became hooked. Three lathes later, I have a Oneway 2436. I turn whenever I get a chance. A lot of the wood I turn comes from our 80 acre woodlot which is mainly northern hardwood. Up to date I have turned primarily natural bowl and hollow forms with little additional enhancement. I also enjoy fishing, hunting, canoeing, and walks in the woods with my English Setter Ziva.
