This is a piece of Swamp Kauri dug out of a new subdivision in Takanini South Auckland. This was a piece of root which was not very attractive and was probably going to be discarded. (firewood) It is 130mm diameter by 70mm high. (5x2.5inch) The finish is 4 coats of Danish oil.
