In 1981, I picked up a small, hollow, boxwood vessel turned by David Ellsworth. It was a mystery and it was perfect. It would be no exaggeratioin to say that that experiance placed me on a lifelong path as a wood turner. I met David a couple of years later at Indiana University of PA where I was studying furniture design with Christopher Weiland. That Elllsworth workshop cemented for me that turning would be my primary focus as a woodworker and designer.
I'm currently a proud member of the Central Ohio Woodturners club and I show my work at Studios On High Gallery in Columbus Ohio. I'm excited to get involved with WOW. I'm already inspired by the great photos I'm seeing. Thank you.
