Hi everyone
I live on the Bellarine peninsula on the south coast of Victoria , Australia. I have been turning off and on for the past twenty years. I am self taught ,my turning adventure started in high school woodwork. I first turned a rolling pin( which my mum still has to this day ) and fell in love with the process immediately. I continued through school and focused on science Biology in particular. It wasn't until several years after completing my degree that I decided to buy a lathe. I truly believed I was going to make a lot of money becoming a famous woodturner and as we all know that just doesn't happen. I now run a landscaping business and spend most of my spare time either turning or surfing. I turn mainly thin walled natural edge hollow vessels. I like the idea of creating a piece that looks incredibly fragile and delicate. I am drawn to wood that many would not consider turning and making something beautiful to honour a material that I am truly in love with
