I am a retired High School Science teacher with a Masters of Science degree and was a head HS football coach and line coach for many of the 35 years I taught in the public schools. I live in Gulfport Ms. and am a veteran of many hurricanes. I am a Christian who loves the Lord with all my heart. I am married to the love of my life Kay (also a teacher) for 45 years. It seems I have always been a wood worker making furniture and stuff, but once I turned the leg for a table I was making, I became hooked on turning. It has become a passion for me, I truly love to create wood turned art and utility bowls. The Lord has blessed me to win a few awards for my turnings, but I am still learning and seeking to create that perfect piece. I am primarily a bowl man because they sell well, but it is the art that inspires me. I am an active member of the AAW and belong to an affiliated local turning club. I also teach bowl turning at the Armed Forces Retirement Home here in Gulfport MS.
