Retired Urological Surgeon. Have been turning for about 15 years. Using an A-frame home-made lathe and a mini- Jet lathe. Now mainly doing artistic woodturning, using carving, texturing, metal leaf enhancement and piercing. Also have been doing watercolours and pastels for many years; interested in landscapes, portraits and figure painting. I live in Franschhoek, Western Cape , South Africa. Have exhibited regularly with the South African Society of Artists and won Best Sculpture for a turned piece " Unzipped " in 2014.
